Faery Haven Original Sculptures
Don't be fooled by her name, Nettle is actually quite sweet. I found this little wood pixie in my garden sitting right in the middle of my clover patch. I had noticed a few days before spotting her that the middle of my clover patch was smashed down as if something had been laying there. I had decided to keep my eye out to see if I could catch the culprit. I snuck up to the garden and hid behind a rose bush and waited. Then I saw her. She fluttered down clumsily, and landed right in the middle of my clover. She then proceeded to walk in circles, stamping down the clover with her feet. After a bit of this, she finally sat down. I was a bit irritated to see a little pixie plopped right in the center, but my irritation turned to uncontrollable giggles when I saw her look up at me and give me that tiny crunched up smile!
Nettle is a Pure Sculpt, meaning that she was completely hand sculpted by the artist without the use of molds. She is sculpted from polymer clay built over a wire armature for strength. Her skin has been left the natural color of the clay, with subtle hints of blush for a realistic skin tone. Nettle has wild blonde Tibetan lamb hair that has been applied lock by lock.
Nettle is a highly detailed sculpture, with special attention to even the smallest of things, like fingernails and creases in the skin. Nettle is about 2 1/2 inches high, and about 3 1/2 inches to the tip of her hat.

Faery Haven Info: Artist Sarah Arruda sculpts wonderfully whimsical creatures from the depths of her imagination. All creations from Faery Haven are one of a kind, and never made with the use of molds. Each whimsical character is beautifully unique, each displaying a different look and personality. Most sculptures, with the exception of baby sculptures are created with wire armatures for support and for a more realistic feel. Costuming is always done by the hands of the artist, as well as the painted features, and the dying of the hair.
Shipping: Buyer pays $10 for shipping and insurance. I will ship through USPS unless the buyer prefers another method. However, if the buyers chooses another method, they will have to make up the difference in shipping costs.
Payment: Paypal is preferred, but I also accept money orders.
Nettle's wings are flexible and are made from wire, fabric, and paint. Her green pixie tights are hand painted with professional quality paints and have been sealed. Her green dress is made from leaves and she has her pixie dust tied around her shoulder.
