"Hickory the Pixie"
Deep in the forest they call Hunter Ridge is a sanctuary for the believers and fair folk alike. This is a place where only the true of heart may enter the Great Oak which beholds the doorway to Faery Haven...
This auction is for a little pixie named Hickory. He is a shy little pixie that is very fond of humans and will often fly right up to their house windows to say hello! He often sits at Grandma's kitchen window at Hunter Ridge and watches as she and the Brownies wash the dishes. He even leaves her flowers sometimes! Hickory is approximately 5 1/2 inches high, and is sculpted from polymer clay. He has a wire armature for support, and is crafted down to the last detail. He even has fingernails! He has an outfit fashioned from leaves and carries a small bottle of pixie dust with him. He is adorned with a real acorn cap, and a sweet little facial expression. Pixies are jolly creatures, with squinty black eyes, turned up noses, and pot bellies. Pixies are a bit more impish looking than their faery cousins, and not near as fashion conscious. The are often adorned with findings and naturals from the forest. Many of them love to dress in green and wear pointy red caps. Though pixies are good natured, they do have a very mischievous side. If you are not careful, they may tie your shoes together or hide your keys. This may be quite troublesome to a human, but to a pixie it is all harmless fun. Like many of the wee folk, pixies can have a bit of a mean streak, especially if provoked. They have been know to do such things as plucking eyelashes, to acorning houses.
All Faery Haven sculptures are PURE SCULPTS. This means they are completely hand sculpted WITHOUT any use of molds. They each start out as a lump of clay that is formed solely by the hands of the artist. Each is its own unique being.
