"Darla"
By Sarah J. Arruda
Faery Haven

Welcome weary travelers, to the enchanted realm where the wee folk take haven... Deep in the forest they call Hunter Ridge is a sanctuary for the believers and fair folk alike.  This is a place where only the true of heart may enter the Great Oak which beholds the doorway to Faery Haven.

Darla would be about 6 inches if standing.  She is a Dark faery.  Dark Faeries are not evil, but they are not the nicest creatures you will meet either.  She lives in the darkest regions of Hunter Ridge, in an old dead oak tree which has been made into a dark palace.  She is in charge of creating nightmares, so beware all who wander into the dark side of Hunter Ridge.  She does not take kindly to those to come into the woods, especially those with ill intentions...  She will find your deepest fear and haunt your dreams.

She is hand sculpted from polymer clay over a wire armature for strength.  Her body is highly detailed and quite realistic.  Her wings are sculpted from a flexible polymer.  She is highly detailed and even has fingernails that have been individually sculpted and applied one by one.  She has jet black wavy hair and has real eyelashes.

Faeries resemble humans much more than other groups of wee folk.  Though they may look humanistic, they have an other worldly quality.  They are often delicate both in appearance and attitude.  There are faeries for many things in nature, such as Frost Faeries, Dewdrop Faeries, Autumn Faeries, Flower Faeries, Dark Faeries, House Faeries, and Forest Faeries, just to name a few.  Faeries are fierce nature lovers, vain, hard working, mischievous, fun loving, and mirror all spectrums of the human personality.
